I upgraded an older laptop with more RAM and SSD.
Surprisingly everything went well on the hardware side (72 screws to unscrew, not lose and screw in again + a bunch of fragile ribbons.
The ram slot was under the motherboard so had to remove literally everything from the laptop - HDD, mobo, cu fan, batter, detach kb+touchpad, jsut to install RAM. Still better than a macbook.
New windows install was also smooth on that fast SSD.
And then every website I went to had a certificate problem.
I was devastated, couldn't figure it out, google suggested some complicated policy settings etc
Until I realised that as I had to detach the battery etc, the date got reset to over two years ago and thous all modern certificates were from the future, so invalid.
I set the time/date right and all is working fine.
