Iam off to a wedding reciption on Friday and Iam after a bottle off bubbly, can anyone recomend a nice one?

looking to spend about 20-30ish.

I had a bottle of Veuve Clicquot for a special occasion a couple of weeks ago and I can vouch that it is pretty good.

I had 7 bottles of it for boxing day familly dinner, lets just say our lass finished off the cooking, and i sat in the corner with a smile on my face (it helped put up with mine and her 'rents for the day!)

Waitrose sell it. At least they do in the Belgravia branch
Think all Waitroses sell it. I would expect most major supermarket chains to stock it too.

Also pretty sure that I've seen it in Makro (Exeter branch).

bollinger is great - if you want pink go to Majestic wine. they sell something called Oiel de Perdrie (sp)

it means eye of the partridge or something. its about £15 a bottle and is delicious!

:D

But it's for a wedding, and you can't / don't / shouldn't celebrate a wedding with mere sparkling wine.

Thats what the champagne producers would have you believe anyway, its all about the marketing.

Eternity rings were only invented by DeBeers when the sales of their diamonds had gone down so they invented a new tradition.

just get yourself down lidl, £1.50 for a bottle of wine, pick up as many as needed to get smashed for you and others, within the budget you can get 20. problem solved? ;)
