Champions League 16th/17th *Spoilers*

Scholes has so far put 2 long balls completely out of play, passed once straight to Ronaldinho to let him run into the box and once tried to dribble out of defence and given it straight to Ronaldinho

This has just been utterly rubbish, I can't help but think Brown would be a better choice instead of a Ferdinand lacking any kind of match practice.

The midfield has been utter ****

If we play this tactic then the midfielders need to support Rooney more. Several times Nani has got into a good crossing position, looked up and only Rooney is in the box marked by Nesta and Thiago Silva.

I just can't understand why he plays so defensively, everyone knows that their weakness is their defence. Hell they have Favelli at left back now who is about 60!!

Hopefully we'll really go for it, the tide was starting to turn in the last 10 minutes, we just need some calmer heads, less rushed long balls to nowhere.

This game has been a joke, the referee has been giving Milan fouls for absolutely nothing all game. Even the commentators had no idea what Rooney was booked for in the first half. Carrick getting sent off for I can only presume kicking the ball away as we got no replay, ridiculous as the Evra 'foul' was just Pato diving.

Still we'll take the result, presuming Fergie doesn't **** it up we should be fine at home. His tactics tonight were.....non existent though.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's another false red card that we can't appeal.

You have to remember of course that Valencia was up against a 40 year old, Nani was up against the proper full back for most of the half. I think the only player that really played well was Van De Saar, although rooney came to life in the second half.

I guess as an Arsenal fan though, pretty little triangles and breaking each others arms patting yourselves on the back basquing in your own footballing excellence means more than end product though.

Sig-worthy :D

Nani may have stretched the AC defence but if the crossing is worthless (which it most definitely was) there isnt any point in the first place imo, just wasted effort all around

I have to disagree with you here, in the first half no-one was getting forward to support Rooney in the box, so Nani had one man to aim at. At one point he did a really good cross and there was just no-one running in for it. The second half the midfielders got much further up the pitch.

Apart from tha fact we'll probably have to play Anderson? :(

At least Anderson would have tried to pass through them tonight. Far too often (especially in the first half) we just got the ball and hoofed it, was sickening to see and you could see how frustrated Rooney was getting.
