Anyone know? Im guessing a lot of the tailors for hire will likely be shut over xmas. Whats a good second choice? Would rather avoid "intended for theatre" hire as they tend to be a bit stuffy. Anyone know if the likes of the suitwear shops in meadowhall etc would do anything worth owning (sub £100)?

get a decent pair of smart trousers, white shirt, waste coat, bowtie, and jacket, not good enough? and for extra authenticity, pocket watch and 1840's style glasses.

http://www.studenttailor.co.uk/Silver_Package_JK402.html is worth a look at.

I got mine from SuitsYou. £109 for a Dinner Suit with free bow tie and evening shirt. May not be the finest quality in the world but how often will you be wearing it? It was fine for my needs for my works christmas do.

I'm sure you mean a dinner jacket (black) rather than a tuxedo (white) but most hire places will be open, I would have thought.

You appear to have made a common mistake of asking on an internet message board that is linked to a PC hardware retailer, rather then the (perhaps more sensible) option of using a telephone to phone up some evening wear rental shops......

I'm so glad someone saved me the hassle of typing that out. Thanks Visage ;)

Don't stand much chance, I booked mine about a month and a half ago. The list was almost full then, however if your a little different to average in your size and shape you might have some luck.
