I'm not a motors man however having read some of your posts they do come off as a tad arrogant and do annoy me. Sure I own a Corsa and it *may* be the worst car in the world, but there are ways of saying it that don't make me feel like a complete arse that makes me go on the defensive. I'm sure that goes for others here.
I know from experience of being the type of person who doesn't believe in sugar coating things that it can bring a negative response. Sure you may know everything about the subject but there are ways of making people see your point of view. You can't just flat out tell people the truth. I've had many arguments with friends and I've had many arguments in my head after. I've spent years trying to get people to see my point of view believing that if I could only say the right word they'd get it but they just don't and sometimes you just have to let it go. You'll find there are always trolls and they will always find a way to have a go at you. You can only do one thing and thats to ignore them.
I can see why you're posting this thread as its to get this forum back to a motors forum and not a BMW fanboy / anti-fanboy forum. If you feel that you personally need to evaluate the way you tackle things then by all means have a think. I've been there, it has helped and I do feel less "MY WAY!!!!" these days but ya know every so often its easy to have a relapse
You know your stuff, just sugar coat it a little now and then and I'm sure people will appreciate your knowledge more.
