According to Government sources, The current £140 fee to apply for a gender recognition certificate will be cut to "single figures" from next month.

I wonder how frequently and quickly one can do this? Will one be able to compete in both Men's and Women's Tennis tournament at Wimbledon?

Sweet, if the men's changing rooms at the gym are a bit grubby or overcrowded just apply to change gender and use the women's changing room instead. I can't see any potential issues :D

Day 1 of the competition - calls up government to get a gender change within 12 hours.
Day 2 of the competition - calls up government to get a gender change within 12 hours.

yeh right... I can see a 3 month wait to have your gender verified. lol

:D

Once and you have to have been living in your assigned gender for at least two years:

I just read the forms :p

Watch out for that small print though.

All the below needs to apply:

  • you’re 18 or over
  • you’ve been diagnosed with gender dysphoria (discomfort with your birth gender) - this is also called gender identity disorder, gender incongruence or transsexualism
  • you’ve lived in your acquired gender for at least 2 years
  • you intend to live in your acquired gender for the rest of your life
So the price drop is the least of your problems.

Move to Scotland, they will soon allow self declaration of gender.

Must be that gender is a devolved issue.:D
