Hi guys
With the new z97 motherboards being released today, some of the gigabyte boards have an option to change the op chip.
What chip is best for gaming/music as I ain't got a clue about these things.?

Sorry I don't know which opamps are best for your motherboard delpy but I thought I'd chime in and say I changed my opamps on a creative Zxr soundcard and it made a nice difference, I even reinstalled my old ones few times just to make sure! and its better.

If you wanted to go all fancy you can buy a metal version of your fav opamp
You can find a very good seller on ebay called "sorch_audio" where I bought mine he makes the metal version with the adaptor already soldered , the adaptor will be a pain to solder and his work is nice. (The metal versions are meant to be better i cant remember the difference more stable or something)

you can only view find his shop searching ebay.com not UK.

And i used 2 LME49710HA + Adaptor and 2 LME49720HA + Adaptor if anyones interested :)

Yes you can... I'll find a link to a guy who has a website showing you. Give me a few mins
Guru3d did some test with opamps as well

also tho delpy you can not use the outer sheild plate on the sound card with these opamps as it raises the profile higher so u can't refit the outer sheild ( the metal casing that screws to the card )

its expensive but does make a difference , you may not notice it straight away tho but give the new ones a few days to then reinstall the old ones and you should tell the difference then.

And forgot to mention if you do buy them make sure you install them the right way round.

The metal parts have a small tab on them ..look at the guys website to see which side the tab goes when installing them :)
