I currently have an stock EVGA 8800gt. I have spent quite a bit of time oc'ing it and have just attached a 3rd party cooler.
The problem i have is that the memory wont oc very high and stay stable. I know that this is an issue with the 8800gt's and that there are unconfirmed (i think) rumors of cherry picking the best batches for the ssc range.
I rekon that if i can loosen the timings on my mem then i might get to 1000 and stay stable, especially with the new cooler.
How do i relax the timings of the mem on a gfx card....that is the question! (authough i suspect the answer is Nibitor)
Any help very welcome
