Changing an EU plug to UK

Hi,

I recently bought a lamp in Belgium and of course it has a 2 pin plug on it but I'd rather change the plug entirely instead of using a bulky adaptor. I'm absolutely useless when it comes to electronics so is it just a case of chopping the 2pin off and screwing in a spare UK plug?

Cut wire, attach plug.

Its not hard at all. Brown or red is live and black or blue to neutral.

Also use the same amp fuse as the original plug has. It will probably be a 3 amp fuse from memory but check what's in there. Don't be tempted to use a 13 amp fuse because it won't trip if there is a fault.

Managed it thanks guys, I figured it was that straight forward but just wanted to be certain there was nothing I could miss
