Changing between SATA I/II

Hi

I have recently built a new machine using a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 as a boot drive, but I didn't check the jumper setting to see whether it was set for 150 or 300.

The OS is installed and the PC is running. If the jumper is set to 150 and I now change it to 300, will this cause any problems, and if so will I need to change settings anywhere else ?

SATAI's bandwidth isnt fully used anyway so switching the jumper to SATAII will offer around zero improvement in performance unless you are raiding. so i would say leave it.
