Hi guys, I want to change the CD-KEY for dragon age, I have a deluxe edition cdkey. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it doesnt work. the game sticks to the old cdkey.

Is there anyway to change it?

ive not tried but its probably and entry in the registry, try searching in the reg editor for dragon age entries after youve uninstalled the game

I'm pretty sure the keys for Dragon Age are registered with Bioware rather than through the game itself. You'd probably have to create a new Bioware account I would guess?

I did, I registred game and key to my bioware account. butI cant see anything on the downloadable content page, its all blank

You won't be able to make Steam change your DA to DA Deluxe just by changing the key.

If you're sure the key you've got entitles you to the deluxe edition, the only way to do it is download the EA download manager and enter your key in there.
http://ams.akamai.cdn.ea.com/eamaster/u/f/eaonline/eadm/eadm-installer.exe

This will allow you (if the key hasn't been registered by someone else) to download the full game files to reinstall the game.

It'll probably mean you have to delete the Steam install to avoid two on the same machine. You could always add the EA downloaded game in Steam as a shortcut though, the overlay works fine.

My guess is yes but there's only one way to find out - give it a go. You can always uninstall the downloader if it's no go.

If it doesn't work and your serial has dashes in it, try deleting the dashes and then retrying.

Have you tryed putting your deluxe edition cdkey into steam by clicking on the "Activate a product on steam" button ??
