Changing drive letter and windows.

Would changing a hard drive letter make windows incorrectly boot?

I currently have it as E: but I want to change it to C:, will this muck it up?

I'm pretty sure that Windows won't let you change the drive letter of the system partition.

You can't change ya boot partition letter as this will screw up windows, as in your case, all entries in the registry are currently pointing to the E: drive, and if you try to rename it to C:, the registry entries will then be incorrect...
