changing exposure of a whole jpeg

2 things:

1) In my opinion, those particular images wouldn't benefit from HDR processing. They don't in general contain a high dynamic range, and there aren't any pictures with both heavily underexposed and heavily exposed areas. Compressing the dynamic range of the image wouldn't really work.

2) A JPEG contains only a limited dynamic range in the first place (unlike a RAW file). Therefore any attemps to increase or decrease the exposure of the image will result in the processor basically making bits up. Can work, but nowhere near as reliable (in my experience) as having 3 JPEGs or a RAW file.
