How can someone go about changing the fonts for the writing on the all programs section of the start menu, and on the taskbar (the list of open windows AND the clock)?

Right click on a blank area of the Desktop and choose [Properties]
Click on the Appearance Tab; Click Effects
Check the box: Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts
In the drop down box select: Clear Type
try this

LOL! Maybe disable some startup programs too, that'll speed up your computer. Oh wait...you wanted to know how to change fonts...

Display Properties > Appearance > Advanced

You can change various items and select fonts you like. It may take a bit of playin about till you find the look you like :)

Yep, I've done that. However there are two fonts which I appear to be unable to change:

The taskbar font stays the same.
The clock font stays the same.
The start menu font stays the same.

Yeah, I think you have to switch to windows classic for those items to change.

The one you need is "Active Title Bar" and it changes obviously main title bars, clock and taskbar.

Entry "Menu" is for the start menu :)
