Changing from a UW

Hi

I currently have a Samsung C49HG9X which has it's own issues (basically anything above 100Hz or with Freesync on causes it to throw a wobbly - it's a known issue).

So I'm thinking about changing, ideally to 4K. The UW is okay but it's not really a massive thing. I'm not stuck with any particular brand or even a monitor vs TV. The size might be an issue. Whilst I currently have 49" a 4K is going to be higher, which is not a problem, but should I go smaller bearing in mind I'm about 1M back from the screen most of the time?

Does anyone have any reocommendations?

Thanks,

M.

A 16:9 4K screen is not very comparable with a 32:9 1080 super ultrawide execpt for the height which would probably be about equivalent to a 27" 16:9 4K screen (not sure if they make smaller 4K screens anymore). Sitting a meter away I dont think a 27" 16:9 4K screen would be a good option as you will have 4x the pixel density compared to what you are used too. You would probably want 32" or larger for 4K at that distance IMO.
