Changing hard drives.

Hi, have been using my laptop a lot recently and now find i need a bigger hard drive for it but i want to keep everything thats on the original disk. What is the best program to allow me to transfer everything onto the new disk and then install it into the laptop. The hard drive is ide if that makes any difference, cheers Kev

you could use clonezilla...its free..

although i havent used it =/

I've seen Seagate and Samsung have got both free soft for cloning disks for needs as you wrote. It's on their web page. Last time I used Seagate Tools for my wife's disk change and it worked fine (newer HDD was bigger, so it was adequate options there what to do).
