Changing iPod name = Syncing problems

Right, I decided to change the iPod name via iTunes and now it wont sync the new songs I just added, instead it wants to erase my ipod and add everything on my itunes onto the ipod....
Tell me I dont have to do this. :mad:

I've had enough of iPods,
1, they produce such poor poor quality sound, bass is distorted, absolute crap. £100 headphones make no difference.
2, they are extremly expensive, what a rip off!

just tick manually sync music and it won't delete your stuff

"Manually manage music and videos" ...? thats always been ticked... and when I go to untick it it says the same thing....

£100 headphones will still sound rubbish if the music is encoded badly.

Mhmm, sound is fine when the equalizer is off or flat, but when turn it onto HipHop preset then bass goes all crappy. Thats what I meant by the rubbish sound.

and when you drag and drop an album onto your ipod it displays the same message?

Interesting.... that seemed to work.... :rolleyes:

But I dont want to do it this way, or dont I have a choice? unless I wipe the iPOD and re-sync the whole library?

Then the preset is crappy rather than the player. Presets artificially boost certain frequencies within the music. The hiphop preset will be distorting your track.

I have no problems on my other players, including my Sony Erricson phone. My phone produces mad bass with no problems, so why cant my 160 pound ipod do the same?

Ok so I changed the ipod name, and it wont sync like before. Do I have to wipe the ipod and resync the whole ipod so it will go back to normal like before.....?
