how do i go about changing something like My Music/Video's location so that they are not on the same hard drive as the o/s.
i know i can just put all my videos and music on the other hard drive but when i go to Start>>My Music i want it to open up the music which is on the other drive

I don't think that this is possible. I tried to do it as I'd love a shortcut to my albums and stuff but I just don't think you can do it..

i'm guessing you're on xp? you can move the whole "my documents" folder. just right click, properties and change the location to move the contents - which includes my music and my pictures to another drive or partition. :)

if you were on vista you can modify the location of each folder individually. :p

You should be able to drop the "My Music" folder to your other drive.
ie. D:\My Music.
Instead of: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents etc...

Aye you can do it like that??

It's a pity though you can't just change it like any other shortcut though which would be sweet.
