Changing mobo whats required for SSD

Hey guys i currently have the asus p8p67 pro. got a b3 gigabyte board coming 2morow just wondered what i need to do to the c300 128gb ssd i got. is it safe to format in the windows setup? if not whats the method required?

yeah wanna do a fresh install. just wanted to know if the wondows 7 setup format option is safe?
