Recently reinstalled Vista as I got a new hard drive. Basically I have a 19" TFT for my mainscreen and a long DVI cable going to my HDTV for that rare occasion.
When I first booted up I noticed it had set the HDTV (It was plugged in but the TV was off) as my main screen. So through the options I set the 19" as the primary and the HDTV as the extended desktop, but the monitor 'numbers' remained the same e.g. the HDTV is Number 1 and the TFT is Number 2
It's causing a few problems with programs, some of them decide they want to be on Number 1 HDTV even though the main desktop is the TFT. I never had this before when the TFT was set as Number 1.
I've tried everything I can think off through Vistas display options and ATi's Control Centre but nothing to change the monitor numbers. I've tried unplugging the HDTV & restarting, removing monitor drivers, disabling the display.
I haven't tried removing ATi drivers yet but anyone had this problem or have any suggestions?
Thanks
