Changing router need some noob help!

Hi guys, newbie here, anyways ...

We changed to BE from plusnet a good 6 months ago now roughly, best decision ever, however a few months now our download speeds have been poor, i know about usage limit etc but i'm pretty sure we're not near that.

Anyways, we changed our router to Thomson (that's what BE provided) but before that we had the Netgear DG834G v3, now i read this is a good router to have etc. so i want to re-use this, now is it just a case of plugging it in and then i should be fine or do i need to change anything? I'm a bit cautious when it comes to the internet shizzle, thanks in advance!

You'll need to configure it, but that shouldn't be that difficult to do. The settings you need for Be are published - no username/password, VPI/VCI 0/101 etc.
The router should automatically work a lot of it out for you, if I remember correctly.
