Changing the Cluth in a Vauxhall Vectra

Couldn't be more wrong then eh, that google result said belt though, the 2.2 in the US model has a belt maybe?

Anyway, numerous high performance jap motors have belt intervals of 60k.

You are missing the point. These are older engines that have remained in production into the year 2000. 36k belt changes were the norm in the late 80's and early 90's. Manufacturers tried to make them last longer to compete on service schedules.

The Honda 2.5 V6 found in the Rover 825's of 1986-1988, never even listed a cambelt mileage recomendation, this was changed on the 827's 1988-1996 to 96k.

The old cavliers and i think astra's have a quick clutch change time quoted because you didn't have to remove the gearbox, the plate just came out from underneath..

Whoa. Just re-read my posts in this thread.

I'll go and sit in the corner and wear the 'I am a tard' hat for getting the clutch mixed up with the cambelt
