Hi all,

Just a quick question.

Ive just put Channel 5 on to watch Saving Private Ryan instead of having to watch that **** on channel 4 that passes as entertainment, only to find that its not on but that they are showing Harts War instead!!

Anyone know why?

Was about to make a thread.. Can't see anything on the channel 5 site.

Was racking my brains trying to remember the pow camp part of SPR.. thinking it had merged somehow with other war films and that my memory had them confused :/

complain.

They take it very seriously. I complained once when they shows a fight film and cut out one of the best fights.

I'm guessing you're being slightly sarcastic.. ;)

Still, you might as well complain about something if it is as ridiculous as that.

Also, I have it on DVD, just wanted to see it on tv.. you know how watching a dvd is different to watching the same film when it's on tv? :o

nah seriously.

AWOL (jean claude van damme film) was on. i had banged on about it for ages to my mates (this was in 2001 so not easy to get it on DVD). I was then shocked to see it on TV. We, as students, stayeds in the night and planned a night in. I went on about how funny yet good the first fight was and they cut it.

i was on the laptop - complained via email. Sent me a long personal email back apologising abut the part ruining the fact they don't want to change films, and how they have to meet time slots due to adverts and hence must cut. I said this wan't good enough and a deputy manager sent me another apologetic email and said i could complain to the head of whatever his positionw as who decides programming.

I was very impressed.

That is pretty good.

However, I didn't really plan to watch the film.. just saw it was on.

I was thinking of just writing to see why they changed it, and then if it was because of the abductee, expressing my disgust.

So they havent put it on TV because some girl has gone missing? Or am I missing something?

I will naw just have to go play Call of Duties Pegasus bridge mission...

Reminds me of a time I wanted to watch something on Sky Movies when I was too tight to pay for the films. Decided to pay up to watch it when my mates were round, then realised afterwards that I had the DVD.

Doh!

I doubt it's had anything to do with a girl gone missing, where is that relevant in the movie? The adverts have been running all week, and this girl has been gone for about 2 weeks now, they would have pulled it earlier if that was the case.

I was taken in by this aswell, got to watch trading places instead, would have prefered SPR.

KaHn
