Chapped Lips...

i get chapped lips whenever i have a blocked nose or i've been stressed (because i lick them)

then they flake i eat the flakes and it makes them worse, but even when there's no skin, just flesh they don't bleed

Anyone who has eczema may tell you that worse than chapped lips is split thumbs or fingers. Mine always split up along the line of the nail or along the thumb print. It hurts so much that I have resorted at times to sticking them back with superglue. It is just like someone has held your thumb down and forcibly pulled the skin apart.

Mind you, I have to sympathise as my beloved OH really suffers from a really bad split lip in the winter, so thanks on his behalf, for the tips.

I used to have it really bad all my life until i was about 17. Ive never had to use lip creams or chapstick again. Im not sure what it was but i think i changed to a really healthy diet than what i was on, also i drink plenty of water.

Yeah, always the thumb. Hurts like a barstool.

I used to get chapped lips every winter but I haven't had it for about five years. I have no idea why

Its often caused by lack of water ,try drinking more !

I use chap stick but not the normal ones cos they arent so good.

I use Chap Stick Soothing Medicated Gel, it works good.
