I bought something online which just haven't turned up. I've tried to get in contact with teh etailer via email and managed to get through once on the phone only to be told it was a receptionist who would have to email someone and call me back....never got a call back obviously.

It was only £30 but its still money....

So what's the process? Do I just ring my back and say what happened? How long does it take to get the money back? Do I have to wait a certain amount of time before I can claim. The purchase was made around the 20th April
 
As above, I had an issue very similar to yours and I paid on credit card. I called my card company and explained the situation. The card company gave me a credit to the value of the sale, then pursued the company and got the money back.

Basically they did the leg work for me :)

It was on a credit card...I guess I should wait 28 days then.
