I tend you donate to charities which have impacted my life.
Emmaus Cambridge being the biggy. They really tried to help out my brother when he had drink problems. Unfortunately he died before they really had a chance to help him.
I'm also a big softy for animal charities. I believe lottery money can't be used to help these causes, so I chip in as and when I can. One of my dogs caught thrombocytopenia and it was heart breaking knowing that she would die and there was nothing we could do
I'm looking to give more, but am unsure on a worthy cause. I tend to look for the less 'main stream' charities.
