Charity Shops?

I'm a bit wary buying clothes from these shops bth. I once bought a navy blue t-shirt with a white/yellow surfing logo on the front. Stuck it on a quick 30-minute wash just as a paranoia check then wore it the following day no probs. Next wash I did was a dark/colours, bunged the t-shirt in with that and everything came out blue! Once bitten twice shy and all that, but I thought the t-shirt's material doesn't usually affect the wash? I've got various t-shirt colours like red, brown, blue, purple, beige, black from non-charity shops and they didn't affect the wash.

I have no problems buying clothes from charity shops. Bought some cracking jumpers and jackets in my time. I tend to go to the shops nearer the posher areas you get a better class of goods .lol.

Last week I bought a beautiful gold pair of cuff links with a blue enamel back ground with a dude inlaid with gold playing a flute.

Actual gold too - price..... £2.50

Always go into charity shops, have bought a few bits of clothing from them with tags still on for a couple of quid, no problem what so ever with using them :)

If people look badly on you as opposed to funding a big corporation
Then they aren't the sort of people I would care about tbh

Went into a charity shop a few days back with the girlfriend who proceeded to buy several bits of clothing at a £1 each and I must say I couldn't be happier. Sometimes there are hidden vinyl gems in charity shops for the collection too.

I went to a charity shop recently and bought 3 items of clothes for a stag do. It came to 21 pounds. That's more expensive than if I'd have just bought them new. I was actually surprised at the quality of stuff but I won't be going back because it's just too expensive.

Some of them, like British Heart Foundation, are trying to be more 'high street' and they have a much higher standard - discarding items that other charity shops would be happy to put on sale. This means they charge more for their goods.

I used to volunteer at BHF.

Their prices are crazy we went looking for some white goods in one when we moved into our last house and it was cheaper to buy new!

Don't see anything wrong with it, but why tell them. How does it even come up in conversation.

Last time working away; leave my suitcase at home. Come back in nice t-shirt (rather than usual company shirt) ask where I get it from. Tell her charity shop and get a :o
