Anyone else think this guy is an utter **** who doesn't deserve his own travel series?

He's an ugly freak with the all the charisma of a decaying turd and the IQ of a retarded slug.

I agree.

Remember at the start of his jaunt piggy backing on The Jedi....he missed the flight because he made a joke about having a bomb with him.

Total jockey of the knob type.

I admit my comments may have been a touch harsh, but I just think it's a shame that a program that I would usually enjoy is fronted by an absolute nobody who looks like he'd be better off selling used cars, or working in a chip shop rather than fronting a travel documentary.

He's an alright guy that got a bit of fame by hanging on Ewan's coat tails. His programs are interesting in a way where you get to see cool parts of the world. I don't mind him either way.

He isn't the worst person ever but he doesn't have any skills that make him more suitable for TV than the average man. I could do his job tbh.

But then my dad isn't a famous film director nor am i EwanMcgregors mate.

Caitlin Moran nailed Boorman much better than I ever could.

To be both blunt but also, I feel, totally fair, Boorman comes across as a copper-bottomed, ocean-going, 24-carat *****. The unsuccessful actor son of director John Deliverance Boorman, Charley is the kind of spoilt, charmless boor whose self-satisfied bull-honking floats down from first class on transatlantic flights, and actually makes you glad to be poor.

i love the way she closes that article lol.

i quite like watching those sorts of programs but not because he presents it, it's just another opportunity to see motorbikes in action!!

Amusing quote, but I personally can't see the problem with Boorman.

He's not totally my cup of tea but he doesn't ignite the kind of feelings displayed in this thread. So what if he's a failed actor son of a director? He's doing more with his life than 99% of the people reading this thread will ever do.

Respect to the guy.

Only because of his circumstances. Nothing to do with skill/talent. Yes he may well be doing more than us, but purely because of his heritage, rather than achievement.

Agreed, but look around. In the entertainment industry, nepotism accounts for a significant proportion of TV jobs as complained about by Anne Robinson recently.

I certainly don't blame the guy for accepting handouts - can you honestly say you would not do the same?
