I want to upgrade to 2GB of ram , how ever all the 2GB dual channels kits seem really expensive or really high latency.Currently I have 2x512 geil value pc3200 which is CAS 2.5 6-3-3 so don't really want to go higher than that.
For example the geil value stuff 2GB dual channel kit are CAS 3.0 8-4-4 for £119 , yet I can buy 4x512 for £124 at CAS 2.5 6-3-3 , whats up with that?.
Cheapest ones I can see that are lowish latency are the G.Skill 2GB DDR ZX PC3200 (2x1GB) CAS2 Dual Channel Kit for £152 and are 2-3-2-5.
I might be able to strech to them , are they worth it or would it be better to go 4x512 to save some money?.
Not looking for any fantastic overclocking ablity on em , just some nice decent speed ram.
