Cheap 350z’s

WOW! Never realised they were so cheap (Imports that is!).

I love these cars too. May have to rethink the Elise idea assuming I can get insured....

you would need to de badge it if you bought an import

they really are great cars and good value though you refer to it has having the same performance as a M3 , I drove them back to back and it isn't close in the real world but as you say they are nothing like the price either

yer, round a track they can stick with, and even take an m3, but they aren't really comparable on the road. But they are damn cheap - plus i would prefer a jap built one over one the french have had their hands on!

why would you want to debadge it thou?

would you drive around in a Nissan Fairlady ?

they are all built in the same place surely? Afaik all built in Japan. And once again we have the old french arguement, if only Clarkson knew what he was talking about, the VQ has been around in the nissan range for many years before renault bought them out and decided it was so good they would put it in the Renault's too.

Fairlady Z you mean ;). And sure as hell I would, I have one afterall :p

was the 300z called the same ? do you and your dad have a 300z each ( your dad had a white one iirc ) ?

i saw one of these on my way home today

"Ohh another 350z" i thought

drive up behind it at the lights

"fairlady what" i replied.

they look exactly the same apart from the badge.

Remove the dodgy badge. leave the "Z" logo on

job done :D

Yep I know its not quite as good as the M3 however The cost of buying and running an M3 is so much higher.

For the money I simply can not think of anything that will give you the same comfort and power. With a couple of £k worth of mods I imagine it would be quite quick.

How tuneable are they?

Nice cars, but be careful as there's something like over 100 differences between the Japanese and UK models, least that's what I read last week somewhere :/

?

of course , I paid the same for a 3 yr old M3 as a new 350z would have been , they are a great car and I really liked it when i tried one , the only thing it needed was a tadge more power/less weight , it didn't feel as quick as the STi I had at the time , the handling and build quality really impressed me with the Nissan

i'm pretty sure the uk ones are being built in france atm... not buy renault as such, but buy renault workers subcontracted over to nissan. And Nissan hasn't been bought out by Renault, they each hold a strategic stake in each other companys, and share some resources

have a look at the nismo kit

absolutely stunning

saw one in the UK last week, had the nismo exhaust, wheels and front / rear aprons and skirts and the sports chrome exhaust

really transformed the look of the car.
