Thats all i need nothing fancy just something ok and cheap! :D

If it's the spec in your sig, I don't think anyone ever made a socket 478 board with DDR2 sockets. You'll need a new motherboard, processor and RAM; possibly PSU as well.

Not sure which 1.8 it is got it off a friend in a dell dimension 4400 board.

Yep i will need new all ?

Yeah, if it's a 1.8ghz P4 then it's a socket 478 Willamette core. Why do you want to upgrade to DDR2? 2GB of DDR1 can be had for ~£40.

cheapest mobo would be the ASRock but you do pay a price for it being that cheap.

Asrock 4CoreDual-SATA2 Rev2 (Socket 775) PCI-Express/AGP DDR2 Motherboard £55.19 inc VAT

For the extra £20 (Inc vat price) unless money is really tight I would go for the Asus since it will alllow you to overclock the CPU to get more bang for your buck.

Reflux what Graphics card would you pair with that if the PC is for general office, DLing and web surfing?
