Cheap commuter

180 miles a week on about £17's worth of fuel. That same £50 would see me for nearly 550 miles.

Bikes are just better!

Mine still does 0-60 in 5 seconds too

My bike will do 120 miles( tank range) on £ 4.50 every... Thursday I have to fill her up as she won't do the extra 30 miles needed

Love the van van...it doesn't look like a 125 but it's so cheap to run and comfortable ...plus she'll do 60 mph which on the country windy roads is fine for me....it's actually quicker getting to work on my bike than it is in my car...

Its only when the weather is really bad ICE and snow when I go in the BMW...Paying fuel cost's to get work depresses me...The BMW cost around £50 per week....

That's like 15mpg!!! at current fuel prices (£1.10ish)

That's somewhere between 50 and 60mpg, very good for a 600 sports bike.

zx6r,i just stick a tenner in and it takes me to around 90-100 miles to reserve,then around 15 miles to empty

Sounds pretty average to me for a 600, inline 4. all the power is way up top so until your 7k or above your drive is pretty economical, even if it is somewhat spirited..or progressive as police officers like you to use.

Im averaging about 43-45mpg on my new commute to work, which contains a lot of 7k and above

and a few spells at around 100. (empty a28 at 2am or 5am)

I think I was averaging 44mpg last time I calculated it,lower fuel prices have helped a bit though

17 quid in the vfr today (at services prices) got me 160 miles with 3 bars left on the gauge.

surprised how much more efficent it is when you keep the spped in the double didgets lol

my zx10r only manages 60 miles till reserve,its terrible on fuel

My Tiger, so far, has done between 48 and 52 mpg. More often than not I'm at just over 50 mpg so based on the lowest I've had, I get a tank range of 200+ miles. I think 200 miles per tank is a good place to be.

My sole use of my bike is 30miles a day in and out of the city centre so all 30/40mph in heavy traffic notsot much need for that!
