Cheap flights to San Fran?

Just wondering what sort of cheap flights one is likely to get to (and return) San Fransisco. I might be going out there, or someone coming over here, at some point, and the cheapest return I could find was almost £300

I'm on a student budget... is there nothing cheaper available?
