Tried that Dreams by MFI on festival park and there a rip off. I'm sure you can get a quality one for around £230. Ikea do one but had none in stoke when I went.

There's a bed/matress store next to Birchendales in Smallthorne if that's any help. Walk past it daily but can't remember the name. :p

never ever buy a cheap mattress it is a false economy! Get a decent one, most people keep a good quality matress for 10 years do the maths and the cost per day is ridiculously low. Your back will thank you in the long run and you'll be less stressed after a better nights sleep.

Wise words indeed. A cheap matress is a false economy.

"The best things in life to invest in are a good bed and a good pair of shoes, becuase if you are not in one, you are in the other"

Not strictly true, but still wise words.

I spent a stupid amount on the mattress for my current bed and every night I'm happy that I did.

Strange you thought about scat fetish. I certainly didn't...just joking that about a skanky mattress (which I don't have btw)

Totally agree, we recently bought a Sleepeezee 2000 pocket spring mattress with 50mm of memory foam on top and its just unbelievably comfortable compared with a cheapy one we got.

If you're not in a rush maybe ordering one of the internet or from one of the high street catalogue stores would be a good option.

I completely agree with the comments above about buying a more expensive mattress. I could have cried coming out of Dreams last month with £268 put on the credit card because I needed a new bed and mattress but now I have it up the mattress is completely worth it and never again will I buy a cheap one.

Its well worth spending a bit more on a decent bed!

I've been sleeping on cheap uni mattresses or cheap ones in houses I've rented since I've been 18.. A couple months ago I finally bit the bullet and spent out £700 on a decent bed and it was worth every penny of it! My back hasn't ached or hurt at all since changing to this bed! :D

I want to know the answer to this thread too, i'm after a decent matress, dont want to spend more than about £250, I reckon you'd be able to get a good brand decent one for that.

Don't like this memory foam malarky though!
