Cheap PC

Hi All,

Mate of mine wants a cheap PC. Nothing super fancy, but thinking quad and deffinately needs a graphics card for a radio control plane sim, so nothing too thirsty!

Can this be done for around £300-£400 ?

Oh yea, jsut tower. Maybe a monitor if the price is right.

to include a monitor youd have to go second hand. does he need an OS? if not you can have quite a nice system, otherwise your prob gonna have to get something like this..

and choose the gfx card option, depends how over budget you can go really.

check MM though, youd get a lot more for £400 off there

if building a budget one at that price you may be better off buying a x3 (3 core) and using that extra funding to fund higher spec ram...or more, if you get the right x3+mobo theres a chance you can unlock to 4 cores anyway. for the money your wanting to spend id go mm or even ebay.

Yeah i'd have to say MM or second hand stuff elsewhere if you need an OS and monitor too.

OS not required, monitor a nice to have.

From your responses it may just be the base unit. Ill have a chat with him and see what he wants to do.
