cheap train tickets ?

anyone got any tricks or tips to get cheap tickets (except booking well in advance!)

want to travel from edinburgh to london kings x, leaving friday 5th aug, returning sunday 7th

ive tried trainline.com and eastcoast.co.uk, both pretty similair prices
tbh I don't think I'll get it any cheaper than those sites but thought I may aswell ask!
