You actually believe that unlimited databases is a good idea? I'd like to see their response when a power customer turns up and completely abuses the "unlimited" nature of their product. It quickly becomes "limited".

Watch your attitude. We're not here to take digs and you've rolled 2 members.

If its a properly setup VPS then all that would happen is that customer sees massive slowdowns without it affecting other users (unless bandwidth becomes an issue on the node).


That price and those specs simply aren't sustainable... not sure if its a loss leader, someone simply deluded or not in it to make money. Your looking at around £40-50 a year minimum for those specs to be sustainable - most likely they are cramming way too many users on the hardware to make ends meet.

I'd rather go with someone like rapidswitch - sure you pay almost those prices per month... but they actually own their own datacenter, provide real round the clock professional support and proper sustainable levels of bandwidth (I've never seen less than 10.4MByte/s up/down even at peak times).


I've had experience of the cheapy VPS providers before... and seen performance degrade significantly at peak times.

There's some really crap information given in this thread, the vast majority of which coming from support_bae. And I'll eat my hat if you aren't affiliated with the company in question; you come across as a really bad salesman trying to push over a crappy product.
