I'm looking into cheap watercooling kits, as I'd like to try it out but don't fancy spending too much. Not expecting amazing cooling, just quiet and adequate.

So I was wondering, has anyone here used either the Corsair Nautilus500 or the Gigabyte 3D Galaxy II? The Gigabyte comes in cheaper, but I'm not sure which is better overall, and which is better value.

Thanks in advance <3.

No-one is likely to recommend a cheap kit as few view them as worth the time effort or money. I've read many comments from forum members saying the biggest cost with water is the constant upgrades and it's best to buy good kit first time.

from the reviews ive seen water cooling kits are never any better then top air cooling. Only advantage can be a noise reduction but this is not always the case. Google for reveiws of both kits.

Failure to find a UK retailer of the VGA cooler for the 3D Galaxy, the high noise levels of it, and the cost of the Nautilus I've decided to budget the extra £60 - 90 and go for a custom kit.

The swiftech kits are perhaps the best performing kits you can buy 'off the shelf' but you could still do better by scouring the net, reading a few forums and buying a custom setup. Its really aint that hard to make up a custom kit.

Have to agree with this as thats exactly what I have just done and It was my first time with water cooling just do the research and plan it all out at the fitting stage and you will be fine its really not that difficult (certainly no more difficult than fitting a kit anyway).

Care to quote the source of your "reviews"? I think you'll find from the real experiences of water-coolers here that proper water-cooling has increased their overclocks, lowered their Vcore, lowered their temperatures and reduced the noise.
