My GTX 660 is still powerful than these lol and it come out in 2012 but for basic cards they are fine.

I do not believe they have the video encoder built in (so the CPU has to do the video encoding and can struggle if it is weak). I had to upgrade the CPU just to watch Youtube at 4k.
Also the DDR4 variants are immensely slower than the DDR5 versions.

If you're just after a low profile graphics card then the price isn't that bad, just make sure you note the above.

Trust me driver updates is the least of your worries with this card.
I need a faster card but can't be paying silly money for it

It's still receiving security updates until 2024. They've already put out one new bugfix driver for Kepler cards since the end of mainstream support. Realistically, you're not going to lose out on anything not having Game Ready drivers for such a card, since they won't run any modern titles anyway.

Apparently it does, but only up to 1080p. Doesn't support HEVC either so won't make a good HTPC card.

Just look for a second hand r9 290 or GTX 970 for less than £100 - they can be had..
