Tomorrow I get the keys to my first house and am looking to get signed up to a broadband provider asap. I have only ever had experieince of using ADSL providers (BT and Pipex) both of whom in the past have been great. The house does have a BT phone line however it was also connected to virgin media. I am looking for the cheapest package possible for the time being and so the virgim phone line and broadband appeal to me. However, with no experience of cable I don't know how easy set up and configuration is.
Can you please sugest alternatives to Virgin Media that I can look into. It needs to be less than 25 quid a month including the line rental from BT and also has little in the way of set up costs.
It will only be used for surfing so I don't need a lot of download capacity per month or blistering speeds. It will be used my my Xbox to play games on live though so I'd like something easy to configure. I'll be buying a router that is easy to set up and reliable for this reason.
