Cheapest Beer?

Christ, you're 19 and new to drinking, no knowledge, not even basic knowledge on it?
Have you been living in a cave up until now?

Cheap and drunk fast, go to your shop, look for a cheap high percentage beer. Special brew, anything with "strong" or "extra strong" on the can.

Don't expect it to taste any good though.

Hate this "I just drink to get drunk thing" it's awfull boring, I drink for enjoyment, and if the mood strikes, to get drunk.

When I came new to drinking, I was about 13 at the time, before then I'd had the odd beer or wine with dinner on a weekend. But we used to buy 8 cans of fosters/ carling for about £6 in an off licence. I'm a freak of nature in that I was 6'3" when I was 13 and had a neck beard going, I could finish 8 cans, I'd be just about the right amount of drunk, wasted but not sickly. Used to be the event of a saturday, either find a party or sit in a field if it was sunny.
I'd say get 8 cans of skippy **** or carling, it won't tastes great but better than anything like special brew.

If you want to get drunk fast and cheap, beer/lager is not the way to do it :p

I usually just have a lager with a meal or whatever for the taste, with no intention of getting drunk from it :o

This really does seem like bit of a pointless thread, how are we meant to know what the offers local to you are? If you want something cheap to get you drunk then pick whatever is on offer for £7 or less, don't buy the no/low alcohol stuff as they often don't look all that different and that's all there is to it.

Something like Holsten Pils or Grolsch are often on offer as 6 for £5 or similar and they're not terrible lagers, not great either but that doesn't sound like it is a major concern.

Buy 3 (Depending on the ones your get and where you go you could get 4 or even 5 if there's a deal) bottles of some nice ales from a local supermarket.
However, if your primary goal is to be drunk, and secondary is to have something nice, then I would choose stella, carlsberg or carling.

Or go for cider, its nice if you like it, and cheaper to get you drunk if you're a lightweight. Blackthorn have recently changed their recipie so its nasty and sweet, you will probably like that. Scrumpy Jack is nice and quite cheap, but more expencive than Blackthorn.

Or Tesco value beer?

its like 0.1% shandy, unless you've just started drinking and you're 10, its rubbish nowadays xD

You could put vodka in it and it would still taste just as terrible, however you'd be paraletic before you finished the Pint!

Can you get drunk on £7 worth of beer? :S

Have around £7. new to drinking beer, dont know much just had a couple last night with a mate and it tasted pretty good, cant remember which 1 it was though....hmmmm.

can u reccomend me a beer guys, £7 budget , something cheap and to get you drunk fast.

are you 10 years old?

i dont think its possible to get drunk for £7 unless whoever sold you the drink is making a loss or you are actually 10 years old.

Tesco recently had an offer on Rawnsley Estate cabernet merlot - £4.99 per bottle (down from £9.77). Love that stuff, even at over £9. Over budget I know, but I'm guessing it isn't your type of thing anyhow! :D

If you're trying to acquire a taste for beer then you're probably best with something light to begin with. I will get flamed for this probably but budweiser or coors would be my recommendation.

*alpha* I drink petrol */alpha*

Though I would recommend my cider thing instead.

Slight warning for you, newcomers to drinking tend to always go overboard with cider which leads to them being sick. Which in the future usually means said people can't even smell cider without feeling ill for many years. Same goes for vodka.
