Cheapest card for running BF4 at Ultra?

You sure you're not running the resolution scale setting higher than 100%?

Are you trying to run 4xMSAA, too?

Have you tried using v-sync or maybe Rivatuner to cap the framerate?

he definitely got something going wrong, my system isnt even as good and i can play on 'ultra' @ anything over 40 frames , i dont though as i think 'high' is better suited.


if you havent already got a card nor tried yet, i would see why your system isnt doing well before you go shelling out, while better bits are nice, no point rushing in if its not needed

16GB 1600MHz Samsung LV Green RAM
650W Antec TruePower PSU
EVGA GTX760 ACX 4GB GPU

If you are using a G-SYNC screen make sure you have the hotfix or a more recent driver than the hotfix.

While its generally only a problem for CPUs with over 4 thread units (i.e. i7, 6+ real core, etc. CPUs) it might be worth trying the core parking disabled tweak if you haven't.

I would get a 290 or 390 and use Mantle, your minimum FPS will double in places where they are very low now, Mantle is also a much smoother gameplay anyway.

OK thanks guys, looks like I will have to invest in an AMD card! Not before I investigate my PC further! I'm borrowing a 780 off a friend this week, so will see if that makes a difference!

A 780 will do grand in this, but as mentioned by humbug above. Using mantle with an AMD 290/390 will be a better experience.
