Hi all,

I need a new camera but I don't want to spend a lot - Ideally £100 but I appreciate this may not be possible. I occasionally do gig photography which demands low light and lots of movement so a good lens aperture is important. My old camera only went to 3.2 which made things really quite difficult.

So... any recommendations for a new one with a wider aperture? The best so far I've found is the Canon PowerShot A580, but the zoom is a bit rubbish at 4x only.

Hi there I think you might be asking for too much in a £100 camera, hence a lack of a reply.

I can think of two cameras which excel in low light and may get fairly close to your budget - these are the Fuji F30 or Fuji F31FD. Neither are available new but do come up regularly on the auction site.

Thanks very much.

To be honest I'd consider anything under £200 for a good low-light camera. Any other suggestions?
