Looking to buy some chicken breasts, mince meat etc. Is there any where where I can buy it cheap in bulk, giving me a decent saving on supermarkets?

Found a few places online but they seem to focus on pure quality rather than price....

Just go into a decent local Butchers well in advance & negotiate a price, If you give him plenty of notice he'll order what you want with his giving you a decent price into the deal/bargain.

Booker chicken breasts?! Sure, if you want them injected with water first to look bigger!

Ocado of all places can be quite good. They do 1KG bags and periodically offer 25% off them. The secret here, is if you only shop with them online occasionally, they spam you with 25% off voucher codes to lure you back every so often, so you can stack this and buy a load of products which are already on offer and make some big savings.

The chicken is usually £9.99 per kg. When on offer it is about £7.50. After voucher/discount becomes £5.62.

Just a word of warning, I bought a box of 6 Diviande Beef Rib-eye Steak from Makro because they looked so good and were cheap.

I noticed they were not cooking like my usual steaks and they did not taste the same, never finished it and I LOVE my steak on a Sat night.

On closer inspection the back of box states, Beef product tenderised & shaped. ingredients list, Beef (95%), animal protein (beef) E331, E301 & E407.

Unfortunately I also bought a box of Venison streak of the same brand so thats about £30 in the bin.

Meat we've had from Costco has been really good quality. Rib Eye steaks are about £5 each but you get a huge one and we've found the quality of the meet to be very good.

We've found you get a higher standard of product over the supermarket even if you don't save much.

A friend of mine works in the butchers in Costco in Reading. The meat is of top quality according to him and he has worked in numerous places.

Their whole fillets of beef look really good value at around £60.

We go to Costco maybe 3 times a year and fill the freezer up each time. More than happy with the quality of what we get (minced beef, stewing steak, pork loin steak, lamb steaks, duck breasts, diced venison etc)

if its chicken or lamb, then your local Indian butchers.
i always buy my chicken from them, i find them even cheaper than traditional butchers

The waitrose/ocado indiviually wrapped breasts in 1kg bags are great value when on 25% off. I always pick up 3 or 4 and freeze. Else costco has good quality at great prices
