The chipset fan on my mobo has started packing in so its my excuse to upgrade to quad core.

The downside is, im extreemly skint. So I need a cpu, ram (2gb) and mobo + silent! cooler bundle for as cheap as possible. I wont be overclocking. Id really like to have the new style heatsink on the chipset so it doesnt have a fan (less chance of packing in on my again, and less noise)

Is there anything you guys can rustle me up nice and cheap?

My budget will be whatever the cheapest package is. For a ball park figure, say.. ? £300? Its going to be around that sort of figure i imagine

:EDIT: Just relised you dont want to overclock. I wont edit what i said out incase it intrests you. But i gues that cheaper one will be fine with you. But the lower ram might run a bit slow against todays high games, as might the unclocked q6600 in duel core games.

Swap out the ram for Crucial Ballistix 2GB as it will overclock to 1000mhz at 4-4-4-12 and has better timings for not much extra cash.

I wouldn't really want to buy that motherboard, does it overclock? but i gues if you really gota be that cheap then you might want to spend more on ram as you may not be able to overclock it at all. Either way it costs you more, save money on ram and pay more on motherboard.

I like the abit p35 boards. But they may be out of your price range.
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-131-AB&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=913 this is 30 quid more but i believe it overclocks well. Although the pro does have some good extra features at £120.

My view is with pcs you get what you pay for really. Save an extra 60-80 quid and you will be able to get a vast performance increase by over clocking ram and processor by getting a better motherboard and heatsink for cpu.

YOu may end up spending more when you have to upgrade again sooner.
