Cheapest system?

I'm thinking of building a car PC but don't have much cash.
I'll need eveything except monitor and case (power supply also due to DC-DC needs)
So can anyone spec up a really cheap AMD solution please. Minimum of 512mb ram.
I guess 250-300 quid maybe??

car pc needs to be low power hungry stuff

notebook drives etc,

*** case r u using, cus most car pc cases are itx or baby atx

I'm just playing with the idea at the moment, but I will probably buid it into my boot, so no case needed.

Well, from the reading I've been doing, and from obvious common sense, a normal PSU won't do it as it will be run from the car battery, via a DC-DC converter. That's if I've read it correctly (PS car is a mk4 golf and I've seen a nice boot install on some forum somewhere)

Just wanting to see how much money I might be needing to save up, so wanted to see how cheap a pc someone can spec.

most of those psu's of a 12vdc feed are only 75watt-120watt,

which i was i saying you should find your psu/convertor first and tell people its rating so they can help you spec it,
