One final point to make is that some unlimited data packages DO NOT include the cost of sending MMS (picture) messages, which are – somewhat bizarrely in this modern digital age – still ridiculously expensive (e.g. 65p on Three UK). The annoying part is that many operators still don’t make this clear when you sign-up, thus you might only find out once you get hit by it. So the general rule is, don’t send pictures via MMS – internet messaging services are much better for this.

MMS (picture) messages 65p

I have voxi 25gb for 12 a month when in offer.
Funny thing is I have not used any data in months, it never ever seems to record my usage

Im on Smarty. £10 per month for 5g, 60gb data, unlimited calls and text and EU roaming. They do have an unlimited package I think but 60gb is plenty for me.

I'm on O2 "old school" PAYG, which they don't offer anymore. Annoys me I don't get Wifi calling because I didn't buy my phone from O2. I use about 30MB per month (yes MB), occasionally call, and rarely text. Costs me less than £1 a month. All these pay monthly "deals" seem terrible in comparison.

I'd love to see more focus on service for very light users, I firmly believe every provider should have an option that gets you connected without requiring you to accept some bundle of capacity you'll never use. As a student I worked in [a landline phone company's] customer services when they scrapped landline "line rental + payg" billing in favour of the now-familiar packages, and the amount of calls from people who just saw it as a price hike was depressing. Try explaining to old folks who only have service for emergencies why this "progress" is good for them...

I have been using this deal for the past 5 weeks, and I am very impressed, I am fortunate to live in an area which has excellent 5G Three network coverage. Only 2 weeks ago they installed a new 5G transmitter at the end of the road approx 300 metres from my home. I suspect my phone is now connected to 5G signal for approx 90% of the day.

Bagged one of those hotukdeal O2 Sims the other week. £8 p/m for 20GB data and doubled to 40GB because I'm also with Virgin internet, which in turn moved my BroadBand up to the next speed.

Yeh me too, the 5g coverage here is fab when outside, however reverts back to 4g when inside in our apartment block which is fine.

£10 a month and no contract, Smarty is good enough for me.

I struggle to get a decent 4g signal on id mobile where I live.. 5g. Don't make me laugh. Pretty much full bars on o2 and Vodafone.. 4 months to go and can get rid if this contract

I've just decided to switch from EE because it's an awful plan and they won't give me anything better for my £10.
Looking at Three's coverage I can get 5G in my area and looking at your posts just bought the Smarty 50gb for £10.
I'm also having a bad time with Virgin, I've spent 6 hours with 3 different departments and getting nowhere for a better deal and then surprised to see your 5G Broadband posts using Smarty.
I'll first see how fast my phone SIM is before looking at 5G broadband.

Thanks
