I have an Android phone which is used about 3 times per month for work and when it is it's only for emails and syncing to a laptop via the internet when out & about via an app so there's no requirement for minutes or texts at all.
It literally uses less than 500mb pa so what's the cheapest way to go about this?
I currently pay £10 to O2 every time I top up and most of that is wasted.

Get an EE sim with the 100mb a month free, I use it in my tablet and haven't paid anything apart from the initial £5 when I bought it.

If I remember correctly, three gives free data when you top up depending on how much you top up by which lasts for around three months so you can top up every once in a while to get free data to use and then use the credit once it's been used up and then repeat the process all over again.

I'd say GIFFgaff, on 02 network, is rather good, gotten slightly more expensive for goodybags, but its not contract, and yeah, its like 20p = 20mb i believe PAYG if you would do so

You missed out the 20p/Mb charge after the initial 20Mb is used up which could make it more expensive for the OP in the long run if more then 20Mb is used in a day.
