Cheapest Way to get Free-view

However, you can watch their on-demand programming without a license, except for content on the BBC iPlayer. If you goto an apps live tv stream, and select watch from start, rather than watch live, however, I believe that loophole bypasses the requirement for a TV license, as you are not streaming the content, as it is shown live, which is the stipulation for watching live TV streams. This used to be how I used the iplayer, before they changed the rules and required the license for ANY iplayer content.

That's a bit of a muddled statement. I think what you're saying is that iPlayer used to be licence-exempt so long as you weren't streaming live. Yes, that used to be the case. Now there's a licence requirement for any content from iPlayer be it live, delayed or downloaded.

On a side note, it would be interesting to see a link that verifies that every single Freeview channel except the subscription ones has an official streaming app.

It's not really muddled. All on-demand content can be viewed without a license, other than that on the BBC iPlayer. What is muddled about that?

I never said every single freeview channel has an official streaming app, but the main ones do. ITV player, All4, 5OD, UKTV Play etc... Probably some of the more obscure channels don't have an app, in which case you have to pay for their content obviously.
