I want a 120GB SSD to house the OS on my nephews PC.

I'm thinking the cheapest but, hopefully still reasonably reliable, half decent performance etc.

Would you buy used/2nd hand,if so what brands/models would you recommend?

Thanks and happy new year.

:)

Do you have one in your PC?

Upgrade your own to a Samsung 850 SSD, then sell him your old one :)

I just grabbed myself another ssd for £89.99, Samsung evo 840 250GB which isn't much more than a 120GB one so for the extra space may as well get a 250GB drive

I put a MX 100 256GB in my machine and just recently I heard him complaining about how long his machine takes to boot so was thinking of upgrading him a touch but not for more than 30 or 40 quid really.

I see a few Sand Disk 120GB SSD going for around that money on ebay and was thinking of maybe trying one of them.

Then again maybe I'll wait a while till I don't feel so skint and get him a 256GB one.

you can get a OCZ arc 250GB drive for 64.99 if your on a tight budget, you will need to google it though as OCUK don't sell them.
